Our Cooking Guide Recommendation - Penn's
Professions Guide: "This thorough professions guide shows you how to level your character
faster than any other guide. Make lots of Gold in all 14 professions, from 1
- 450. Every profession is explained in depth leaving no stone
unturned".
Learning to Cook in WoW is a really useful skill and compliments several other professions like Fishing. You can actually earn a reasonable amount of gold with your cooking skill and
you don’t have to put in a lot of effort, making it fun for players to give it a try.
Originally most players didn’t give it a second glance but with Burning crusade and WotLK its a profession that
has taken on new possibilities. Some players actually need some of the things you make and you get cash in return.

Let's Begin
Once you decide that you want to give cooking a try, you’ll need to have fire. This requires the items: Flint
and Tinder as well as Simple Wood. Open up your Spell book and look inside the cook book to find which recipes you
would like to try. Remember though that your fire won’t last long so make sure you have bought enough wood.
When you have finished the apprenticeship you will need to spend a bit to make a bit. But when you have achieved
more quests you will have the items needed for the recipes.
Cooking to Make Gold
Many think that cooking is a pretty useless skill to have but it’s what you cook that makes the difference. You
will need to focus on foods that carry Buff points as these can be sold at the auction house. Warp burgers are good
sellers at about 1 gold a piece. You can easily make 50 gold ph with this tip.
The seasons can be very important. At X-mas there will be quests that players need egg nog for and
can earn 1 gold piece each making you even more gold.
If you want a quick tip to level from 1 to 375 read on.... Star off in Ironforge. Purchase one flour and one
mild spices to make your first recipe of Spiced Bread. This is very simple and will help you advance to 40.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to get 30 mild spices as well as some more wood. Then get to Auberdine and
find a Moonkin. Keep killing it until you have around 20 eggs or more. This will take you to skill level 60.
You can then go south to Ashenvale where you will be able to find the Crawlers which will drop clams. Cook these
back at Ironforge and sell them. Then cook the clams with the help of a cooking trainer. By now, your skill level
will be up to 130. All you need to do now is get the expert cookbook to be on your way to 375.
The New Daily Quests
The new daily cooking quests are a recent introduction to the game. However, they generally need a cooking level
of around 275. The good bit though, is that the pay back is high.
