For quite some time, Paladins could only be rolled by the players who
belonged to the Alliance side. With the Burning Crusade, players of the Horde finally got the chance to roll a
Paladin class.
However, they can only role this class if they choose the Blood Elf race
while for the Alliance a Paladin is available with the Human, Dwarf and Draenei race.
A Paladin class is one of the hybrid classes in WoW since they can be tanks,
healers or melee damage dealers. As any other hybrid class, Paladins are really fun to play and can never get you
bored since you can change your spec any time you like.
Pally tanks are famous for their AoE tanking ability, which means that they
can tank multiple targets. When it comes to the talent points, to make a good tanking Paladin you will need to put
your points mostly in the Protection talent tree.
If you prefer to heal with your Paladin, than you need to put most of your
talent points in the Holy talent tree. Paladin is a good single target healer, his heals are fast and he can easily
be on the top of all other healers in the raid.
A healing Paladin doesn’t have any heals over time (HoTs) and most of his
healing is done with flash heals and therefore he has to have a lot of spell power and critical strike rating on
his gear.
Paladin vs. Shaman epic fight
Retribution tree is usually chosen by Paladins who prefer to deal damage in
melee or prefer to play PvP. With the Wrath of the Lich King, Retri Palas became popular in PvE as well and are
quite often used in raids.
No matter if you choose to play PvE or PvP everybody will love you for your
blessings. Your Blessing of Might, in short BoM, will enhance attack power of any melee dps in raid such as a
rogue, feral druid, hunter and dps warrior.
Your Blessing of Wisdom, in short BoW grants additional mana per 5 seconds
to any mana consumers such as healers and your BoK (Blessing of Kings) will enhance all stats by additional 10% to
any player who has this blessing on. BoK is usually the most wanted blessing and all classes, especially tanks will
have a great use from it.
Same as the Priest class, a Paladin class can also resurrect and dispel. The
most popular Paladin spell is surely “the bubble”. By using this spell, a Pala can protect himself from any damage
like a spell or physical attack coming his way.
Paladins wear armor made from plate which gives them extra durability and armor. However, Paladins
need mana for their spells and attacks so their armor greatly differs from the one DKs and Warriors wear since it
has spell power, mp5 and intellect.
Critical strike rating is essential for any Paladin since he will gain mana
back when his spells crit and that will help him regenerate mana much faster than any other
class.
While playing in PvE you will surely have a nice time with a Pala since you
can change his build any time you like and still be very useful to your friends or guild mates. Same goes for PvP
so keep in mind that Paladins are one of the best PvP classes to play.
