Your Best Guide to the World of Warcraft Horde Faction

Slowly but surely, the World of Warcraft RPG is becoming more and more popular among PC gamers.  The World of Warcraft parades a superb animation and concept, showing everyone that this game was well thought of and developed.  You aren’t just confined in selecting your side, but you are also allowed to choose a race under your selected side.  In this game, the world is divided into two opposing divisions—the Alliance and the Horde.  This is not just about good and evil.  The two factions have their own good and not-so-good aspects, and their characters are well-formulated and explained.

This concise game guide is designed so you can take a closer look at the Horde side and the classes under it.  After reading this guide, you will gain knowledge about the five Horde races and their special traits. In this manner, playing the World of Warcraft game will not be as difficult as it may seem.

The Horde faction is composed of five races just like the Alliance faction.  These races have their own abilities distinct to them.  To make a gamer’s life easier, one must know the important characteristics of the Horde races. This World of Warcraft Horde Guide is worth your time as this is packed with helpful information about the Horde races.  To start things off, let us one by one distinguish the five races under the Horde faction.

The Blood Elves came about after the evil Arthas and his undead Scourge destroyed Quel’Thalas.  They are among the few survivors of this invasion.  After being thrown out of their territories, the elves decided to take back what’s theirs and named themselves the Blood Elves. Led by Prince Kael’thas Sunstrider, the Blood Elves have been gathering new sources of arcane magic to improve their defense against the dark Scourge. The Blood Elves are known for their Magic Resistance, Arcane Torrent and Arcane Affinity.

Among the most obvious characteristics of the Trolls are their brutality and dark religion. These creatures that have inhabited the South Seas islands are characterized as barbarous and credulous.  The Darkspear Trolls led by Vol’jin are now establishing their homes in Durotar together with the Orcs. The Trolls are loyal to Tauren and are known for their Berserking, Beast Slaying and Regenerating abilities.  They specialize in Bow and Throwing.

The Tauren race under the Horde group is known for their unmatched skills in herbs which can be very beneficial in many ways at the course of the game. These sordid creatures living in the lush barrens of central Kalimdor have been doing all they can to preserve the equilibrium between the restive element spirits and feral land creatures. Among the known features of the race are the following: War Stomp, Endurance, Cultivation and Nature Resistance.

The next Horde race is the Undead. The Undead or the Forsaken are loyal to their Queen Sylvanas Windrunner. Their racial traits such as Underwater Breathing, Shadow resistance, Will of the Forsaken and Cannibalize are very advantageous when used at the right time.

Lastly, we have the Orcs to complete the Horde side. Despite being not so positively-appealing, the Orcs are considered the most productive and creative races of Azeroth.  They have always been at war with the Humans. What makes the Orcs an even tougher opponents are their special traits—Axe Specialization, Blood Fury, Command and Hardiness.

Warcraft Horde Guide

In this WoW Horde Guide I’ll introduce you to the Horde faction and its associated races.

The Horde races are the Blood Elves, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls and Undead. Each race of coarse has its own strengths and weaknesses so choose carefully.

Warcraft Horde Guide- 5 Races

Blood Elves:

After the destruction of their kingdom in the Third War by the Scourge the High Elves became known as the Blood Elves.

You can buy the Hawstrider mount for the Blood Elf at Thuron’s Livery in Silvermoon. When it comes to classes Blood Elves tend to be for the most part Mages and Warlock and to lesser degree Warriors and Hunters.

Orcs:

Orcs have a long tradition as Warriors and this in turn is seen in many of their characteristics. For instance they specialize in wielding axes and fight with brute strength. If this is your style of play then this race may be a good choice. The classes that Orcs can be are Death Knights, Hunters, Rogues, Shamans, Warlocks, and Warriors. Worgs, large wolves, serve as the Orcs’ mount.

Tauren:

If your play style favors combat, then another great choice is the Tauren. This is due to them being incredibly strong and having really good stamina especially in combat.

The War Stomp is a really cool ability of the Tauren. This allows them to communicate with spirits which in turn shake the very Earth and stun their enemies.

Tauren’s massive size will limit the selection of its mount. One option is the Kodo, a large reptile creature.

Taurens can be Druids, Shamans, Hunters, Warriors, and Death Knights.

Trolls:

The least common race in all of Warcraft are the Trolls. Similar to the Orc, they’re fantastic in combat. The weapon of choice is the Throwing Spear and in addition they can go into a state known as Berserker which gives them increase speed for attack and allows them to cast spells.

Priests, Rogues, Warriors, Mages, Hunters, and Shamans are the classes available to Trolls. Raptors are what the Trolls use as mounts.

Undead:

Finally the Undead, also known as Forsaken, can belong to the Death Knight, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior classes. Skeletal Horses serve them as their mount. Two cool things about the Undead is that they don’t breathe so they can stay underwater and they can also gain strength by eating the flesh of other races.

In this World of Warcraft Horde guide you’ll find some tips on leveling your character with grinding and questing. Once you leveled yourself up to 60 you can play Burning Crusade and then Wrath of the Lich King.

Even though making gold with grinding can be easy it tends to getting really tedious after a while. So we’ll look at grinding up to level 20 and then switch over and talk about some questing.

Due to the fact that levels 1 to 10 don’t have many grinding chances and they’re really easy, I’ll start with level 11 for this guide. Make sure that while your grinding in the initial level you don’t just pass up the instances. This can make leveling take a little longer but the benefits of the gear you’ll get make it worth while.

Warcraft Horde guide to grinding your way to level 20:

Levels 11 & 12

Try grinding the following: Greater Plainstrider, Barrens Giraffe, and Savannah Prowler. They’re found in Ratchet and Crossroads. Grind the Crocolisks in the river in order to get more experience points.

Levels 13 to 16

You can either continue grinding the zones mentioned previously or you can change it up and travel south to grind the Southsea Bandits and Cannoneers.

Levels 17 to 20

Initially you should go over to Norwatch and grind the Theramore Marines. Once you’re at level 19 head over to the South Barrens to grind the Stormhides.

Now for the quests. This World of Warcraft horde guide will get you started to leveling up higher with the use of quests.

To start you’ll need some quest completed then you can go over to Stonetalon Mountains to continue. The following list is of the initial quests you need to complete.

In Crossroads:

  • Letter to Jin’ Zil
  • Report to Kadrak
  • Deepmoss Spider Eggs

Just have a good balance and you’ll have more fun, level well, and earn gold at the same time.

The Horde is one of the two major factions that rule over the world where World of Warcraft is based: Azeroth. The two groups are made of an alliance between five races on each side. The five races that make up the Alliance faction are the Humans, the Dwarves, the Night Elves, the Draenei and the Gnomes – what are considered as the Good races of Azeroth. And on the Horde side sit the Trolls, the Blood Elves, the Undead, the Orcs and the Tauren – the Evil races.

Characters who play Horde are just more fun. The two factions are always at war, so when you choose to start a character in the Horde make sure that any friends you have also starting WoW are also in the Horde, or you won’t be able to even talk with eachother in the game.

Orcs are tought, heavily muscled fighters who live in a clanish culture. When you play an Orc you naturally get the racial abilities: Blood fury and Hardiness, which both make for a tough fighter. Orcs were once a noble race, but were corrupted by the Burning Legion into the evil sods they are today. They are great fighters, but also can be great magic casters – particularly Orc Shamans are to be feared.

The Troll race are a vile, barbaric and violent race. The only race that trolls do not hate is the Orcs. Trolls make the best race in the game for pure survivability – as they are the only race that automatically regenerate lost hit points. And their berserking skill makes them superb damage-dealers as well.

The evil side of the elves are the Blood Elves. The most intelligent of the Horde races, Blood Elves are Elves that have lost immense power and wish to recover it at any cost. You can play a very powerful magic-user as a Blood Elf. And if you play a Blood Elf you get a powerful racial ability which allows you to regenerate your mana while silencing other spell-casters around you. You also get a bonus to the enchantment profession.

The Tauren are huge, beast like creatures with hooves. They are powerful warriors, hunters and druids, very close to nature. The racial ability to stun those around them is a formidable natural skill to have. And their advantages to Herbalism means you really have to study this useful and profitable skill, which goes best with Alchemy.

Undead characters are strong and fun to play. Pure embodiments of evil, they are a group of undead created by the Lich King but broken free to make their own way in the World. They live in a city called Undercity. The Undead racial ability to remove Fear, Charm and Sleep can be invaluable in a tight situatio. And a great fun ability is called Cannibalism – as an Undead you can eat corpss of other creatures to regain your own life force!

When selecting a horde leveling guide, the first thing you need to think about is what you’re actually getting.Several old guides only give you half truth, leaving a lot to chance. When World of Warcraft first started, almost all players chose the Alliance side.To make a long story short, it took a long time for anyone to come out with a guide on the dark side of the game.

We decided to research all the Horde guides out there to find out what options gamers have.It took forever to achieve the end result. Most of them only discussed areas throughout Thunder Bluff, Orgrimmar, Silver Moon, and the Undercity. The normal stuff as already been covered like vendors, auction houses, and places to get mounts to further the journey. While these were effective, most older guides didn’t update their information.

The main thing is that they would only talk about a specific race or class.Only writers who have played with all the characters should be writing horde leveing guides.Checking out many materials, you’ll find most don’t pertain to your character or class.A WoW horde leveling guide is not complete if it does not cover all five races (Trolls, Blood Elves, Taurens, Undead, and Orcs).Taking this route will give you more information all packed into one area.

Choosing Classes

When you’ve decided what race you’re going to play with, there has to be a class attached to it.Although you would like to be a Rogue, there are only certain Horde races that allow you to be one (everyone but Taurens). This is the same for any other class, but you must figure out how you’re going to play the game.A horde leveling guide will tell you all about PvP play, specific realms to choose, and several other secrets that are helpful in choosing your class.Think about this as we go over all the races and classes that work for each one.

* Blood Elf- Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock

* Orcs- Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior

* Tauren- Druid, Hunter, Shaman, Warrior

* Trolls- Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warrior

* Undead- Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior

You will find several different horde leveling guides that help new players and veterans of the game.Following our advice will help you get a guide packed with information for every race and class. In this case, you should choose Joana’s horde leveling guide.
