Flipping, or selling things in the Auction House, is another great way to make gold if you know how. This can involve either selling stuff you’ve gotten throught grinding for instance or thing you’ve bought at the Auction House and then turn around and sell for more.

Combining flipping and grinding can make you more gold than either one by itself. Grind mobs that have the higher drop rates and then go over to the Auciton House to flip the stuff you’ve got.

Observing the items that sell and the amount the sell for is the best way to start. Then try focusing on gathering those types of items and you’ll end up doing a lot better at flipping.

Good timing is often the difference between success and failure in the Auction House. The more bidders to better chance you’ve got to making good gold so go to the Auction House when the most players are there. Next, you don’t want to flood the market. Also, there are times in the skinning profession that you’ll end up with knothide leather scraps.  Don’t ignore this or throw it away.  Instead, try to discover a leatherworker which has the abilities to turn these scraps in to a knothide leather pieces.  For the work, you can trade or give valuable information.  Always remember that nothing is actually free in World of Warcraft.  If you want other characters to do something for you, you may need to pay for it with information, gold, or items. 

With the skinning profession, try and keep your eyes open for those special leather drops,eg Clefthoof Leather.  This will give you a significant sum of money.

You will be searching for bargains to buy low and then sell high. Constantly check the prices of items to see what people are buying them for. Whenever you come across a clear bargain, buy it quickly or someone else will The ideal it to find motivated sellers – people who want or need to sell their item fast and don’t want to wait for a bidding process.

When you have found one and a bargain, offer them a low price by prvate message. When you are selling it, you can take a day or 2 and take bids for the best price. And always try to sell on a Friday. A recurring pattern is that items go for higher prices on Friday, perhaps because it’s at the beginning of the weekend and people are happy to pay a bit more.

I am an enormous follower in learning from others and avoiding their mistakes.  It’s especially true in PC games and the folks that have been playing for years longer than you are bound to know more about it – so when I started I read a World of Warcraft book.  The difficulty is although this was a nicely bound players guide full of maps and tables that wasn’t what I really required.  I mean who reads tables with talent levels, damage proportions and all that stuff – the tables were so little I could hardly read them anyhow. 

My world of warcraft book was really very similar to the Dungeon experts guide I have for playing DD that’s’s packed full of useful tables as well – can’t believe I used to work out the proportionate damage from a fall and multiply it by a dice roll.  No what you need with WOW is grounded advice – practical things that make the game more fun that is’s why I mostly buy the unofficial guides written by people who are actively wasting their lives in Warcraft right now and justify it by creating some sort of guide.  The irony here is that some of these authors make a good sum out of these WoW gold guides.  But hey good luck to them. 

An example of one of the tips from a guide I read lately was very simple but effectively saved me hours – rather than me speeding backwards and forwards from the sale house with my backpack full of goodies to offload simply create an alternative personality and leave them conveniently found near an Auction House and a mailbox.  You can then just mail your goodies back for your alt to offload at the auction house – I mean how incredibly simple is that and yet it saves heaps of time !

A very fast way of making plenty of gold is to just sell the raw items that you have gathered or gained as mat stacks in AH.Players browsing the AH often are just searching for the raw items they need to make a certain item so save time and just give them what they are searching for.To reiterate, focus on gathering not crafting. Then don’t forget to have a browse every now and again to see which items are required by other people as these are what you need to gather.

Let’s start with gathering professions that can generate gold quickly for you. They are mining, skinning, herbalism and fishing.

Let’s begin with fishing.

Try not to fall asleep while fishing, I know it can be time consuming but it can also be quite good for gold if you find a black or golden pearl. You might need to open up plenty pearls before you find a black or golden pearl but it will be worth it.For a stack of 10 black pearls you can get 10 gold and 1 gold pearl is worth 30 gold.Good findings are near Feathermoon in Ferelas or near any high water areas. So fishing can be of great benefit to making gold especially at the higher skill levels.Make sure to get the best rod you can afford and lure as well to max your fishing skill quicker.

2. Skinning

Don’t forget that skinning items don’t stack so well so try and buy bigger bags as soon as you can afford to.Blacksmiths, leatherworkers and tailors need skinning items so you can make gold off them.A clever way to gather items for skinning is just locate the positions in the quests where the people need to kill a heaps of monsters.You can then without having to fight go in afterwards and skin all you want.Nesingwary’s expedition north of Stranglethorn Vale will be a great place to get hold of some panthers, tigers, and raptors to skin. Looking for some devilsaurs and maybe gorillas? Head on over to Un’goro.

Make sure once you have levelled up a bit higher to go to Winterspring for Shardtooths to skin them for rugged and warbear leather.While you are skinning make sure to gather all the loot and leather as well as this can bring in round 40g per hour.Stack the warbear and rugged leather and sell them in the Auction house for some great gold.

Moving on to mining

Remember that engineers and blacksmiths need mining items so mining is very profitable.Need iron and mithril? Head on over to Arathi Highlands. When you are there look for the Drywhisker cave near Hammerfall to mine lesser bloodstone that sells well in Auction house.There is also a cave to the north of Dun Algaz in the Wetlands where you can gather Incedicite ore to sell in the Auction house.

A couple of the greatest places for Mithril and Truesilver are Tanaris, Blasted Lands ,Searing Gorge & the Charred Vale.Thorium in stacks can get you up to 10g.Be sure to lookout for Arcane Crystals while mining for Thorium as these babies can sell for 12-15g a piece in the Auction house. Find these in Burning Steppes, Winterspring, Un’goro or the Eastern Plaguelands.The crystals and Thorium should get you up to round 50g per hour.

Last but not least we have herbalism

You do not have to be an Alchemist to make some gold with herbalism. In this strategy that I give you, you will just gather the items and not make the actual potions.Once gathered you will only sell to the Alchemists.Plagueblooms is a good herb to start with. Gather these in the eastern and western Plaguelands. Felwood might be less busy for Plagueblooms.If you decide to go to Felwood, lookout for herbs such as Gromsblood and Dreamfoil to get you 12g per stack.When done go over to the Hinterlands for some Ghost mushrooms, these babies sell for 20-25g.

To probably already know, if you are reading this, that in World of Warcraft why it is so important to have gold and lots of it. You use it to buy everything, and without it, there is limited to no fun in the game! It can be a challenge to acquire gold, but once you get the hang of it, it’s actually quite easy. Although not all the gold secrets revealed here, these are some simple helps you can use right away.

To ensure you are absolutely overflowing with gold in World of Warcraft and are the envy of every player on your server, follow these simple but important things you can do!

Tip 1) Even when you enter World of Warcraft as a level 1, get bags. As many as you can haul. If you have a high level character already, buy the biggest bags you can and send them to your new character. This is a simple and easy to understand step that most people fail to use! The Auction House is always alive with activity and buyers trying to get their hands on leather, ore and herbs. People are LAZY, or they simply don’t have the profession required by their trade skill! So, you’re the hero they needed to deliver the goods to them, and you pull a hefty profit at the same time!

Tip 3) Ties closely to the previous tip, but often overlooked as well. This tip can alone can also earn you substantial gold income in World of Warcraft. You just won’t use enchanting to Enchant! “Huh?” It’s simple… think about it. Most people do not enchant, even though they always wanting some enchants… and most enchanters don’t have the materials required to make the enchant that people want! So what do they have to do? Check the Auction House! This is, again, where you are the hero and in exchange for your “heroics” you get a large profit margin! Cha-Ching! Gold ahead! Instead sell the disenchanted remains and save your rare drops!
