Have you ever wandering around without any solid idea on what to do in order to cut your leveling time? I’ve been in that situation, and it is very frustrating. Fast forward a couple of months of tirelessly research, I found some methods for WoW quick leveling:

1. Find an Inn or Capital City before log out
An old way, but for someone who have limited playing time like me, the rested XP is help me a lot.

If you are in an Inn or capital city, your player portrait will glow and your level circle will say zzz. This is a sign that you are resting and if you log off there, you will continue to rest while offline. Every 8 hours resting, you will get one bar of rested XP which is equal to 5% of a level.

2. Get other player to run me through dungeons
A common method in almost all MMORPG. The basic is ask someone with higher level to group with you, kill some high level monsters in high level dungeons, and get the shared experience points. It is an easy way to level up in very short time. The drawback is you cannot use this method at will since it is highly dependant on other character. 3. Get a bunch of quests in an effectively designed order
There are massive quests in WoW and doing a series of selected quests in the right order is the fastest way to achieve maximum level. The problem is selecting the best quests with the best rewards and can be done simultaneously with other quests. It is really vital to be time efficient; you don’t want to running around finishing one quest while you can finish two at the same time!

Doing those 25 quests should get you to level eight already. To be more efficient, it is really important to know where you have to go and what to get first, thus whenever possible you can accomplish more than one quest at once or at least picking a few necessary items in one go.

Later when you hit level 12, you have the option to switch zones (eg: Barrens, Ghostlands, Silverpine) and taking quests there or keep questing at your own zone. By the time you finish these 17 quests, you should hit level 24 already. Remember that efficiency plays an important role here; you must complete as many tasks as possible in one go an keep the pace all the way to level 80.

Farming can be described as the act of killing one or a few type of monster in an area to earn its gold or loots; this method is considered old fashioned and relatively easy, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t get lots of gold from it. By using a good gold farming guide, you can farm at the best zones, locations, or instances; kill the monsters in the quickest way possible and earn your loots immediately; and selecting the best class for maximum results.

This is not a detailed gold farming guide, but I’ll try to reveal as much as I can. If you just created your character, it is impossible to farm effectively, so go and grab a couple of quests, earning experience, gain several copper or silver, and get your character to level 15.

Once you hit level 15, it is depend on your faction. If you are in the Alliance faction, go to Gold Coast area in Westfall to look for Defias Windmill. You’ll find a lot of Defias mobs near the windmill; you can acquire linen cloth and other humanoid loots from them. They are around level 12, so you should be able to kill them easily; you also don’t need to worry about running out mobs to kill since they respawn quickly.

If you are in Horde faction, you can go to The Barrens and start killing Great Plainstrider. It has pretty high chance to drop Light Feather, which is sold well at the AH. Sometimes it also drops fair weapons and armors such as Fire Wand or Native Sash.

One tips that you have to remember when farming is always keeping empty space in your bag; that means selling your trash to the nearest vendor whenever possible. If you happen to be in a condition where your bag is full and there is no vendor around, throw away the less valuable items and keep the higher value ones.

Note that you can mix farming with other gold making methods for even more gold. These are some good farming spots for higher level character:

1. Alterac Mountains in Eastern Kingdoms; kill Elemental Slave here, they have slight chances to drop elemental earth that sell well at the Auction House.

2. Scarlet Monastery Graveyard in Trisfal Glades; hunt for Unfettered Spirit, it is easier than other monsters and the drops also quite good.

3. The Badlands in Eastern Kingdoms; find normal Rock Elemental for lots of grey loots such as Lifeless Stone and Jagged Piece of Stone.

4. Searing Gorge in Eastern Kingdom; kills the elites here and get your Mageweave Cloth.

5. Felwood in Kalimdor; find the Deadwoods as they drop silver, Living Essences, rare herb, and major healing potions.

6. Shalzaru’s Lair at the Isle of Dread; kill the Nagas in order to gain Golden Pearl.

7. Deadwind Pass in Eastern Kingdoms; get Deadwind Ogre Mage for Runecloth drop.

8. Arklon Ruins in Netherstorm, Outland; the Artifac Seeker drops Mark of Sargeras while the Fellblade Doomguard can give you Fel Armament.

9. Dragonblight in Northrend; from Venomspite, go south until you reach the shore while killing all humanoid mobs in your way to gain gold and many other loots.

10. Wintergrasp in Northrend; ready for some challenge? This PvP zone will make farming even more difficult, but you’ll find various Revenant here that drop Crystallized Air, Water, Shadow, Fire, and Earth.

Up until now, the top method for fast leveling in World of Warcraft is doing quests in highly optimized path where a couple of quests are finished simultaneously whenever possible, so this is what you want in your alliance leveling guide. When you just created your character, you will get different quests based on your starter zone, which is vary for each race. In addition, you will also have different class quests; but after you arrive in Stormwind, all Alliance character will receive the same quests.

For the first few quests, I will use Night Elf as example; these are the quests that you need to take:

1. The Balance of Nature from Conservator Ilthalaine.

2. The Woodland Protector from Melithar Staghelm.

3. Webwood Venom from Gilshalan Windwalker at Aldrassil.

4. A Good Friend from Dirania Silvershine in Teldrassil.

5. A Friend in Need from Dirania Silvershine.

6. Iverron’s Antidote from Dirania Silvershine.

7. The Balance of Nature from Conservator Ilthalaine.

8. Webwood Venom from Gilshalan Windwalker at Aldrassil.

9. Webwood Egg from Gilshalan Windwalker.

10. Tenaron’s Summons from Melithar Staghelm in Teldrassil.

11. Crown of the Earth from Tenaron Stormgrip at Aldrassil.

12. Iverron’s Antidote from Dirania Silvershine.

After you completing the quests above, you will hit level seven. By level 12, you can choose to switch zones (eg: Westfall, Bloodmyst, Darkshore) and take the quests there or stay at your own zone; either way, if you keep going by taking the right quests series, eventually you’ll reach Stormwind. From there, the same Alliance leveling guide applied for all races.

Note that just taking quest after quest is hardly sufficient; you must complete it in the most time efficient possible by finishing various tasks from different quests in one go whenever you have the chances. Now, if you have reached Stormwind, you can take these following quests:

Similar to other current MMORPG, there are tons of methods to gather gold in WoW and a good wow gold making guide should cover them all, or at least focused on a few of them. 1. Doing Quests
The amount of quests in WoW is massive and if you just took any of them then you are wasting time and won’t gain benefits from it because each quest has different value and time to finish. 2. Farming
A method that vastly used to earn gold by killing monsters in a certain area to get their item drops. This can be done by a low level character in a low level area or a group of high level characters doing instance runs. The two keys here: first, choose the right place and time to do it; second, pick the item drop that in high demand in the Auction House. If everything are “click” perfectly you can get decent gold from this method by selling your item drops at the Auction House.

3. Pick a Gatherer Profession
Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning are examples of gathering professions in WoW. Having one of these professions, you will be the one who supply the market with raw material or ingredients like gold, silver, stones, herbs, leather, hides, fish, and scales. Other professions such as Jewelcrafting and Engineering will process these materials further. With constant demand in materials for various recipes, there are much gold that can be made here. Just remember to collect the items that in high demand and put it in the Auction House after doing a little market research to decide the proper price. The other alternative is form a partnership with a crafter where you will supply him/her at reasonable price.

4. Being a Crafter
A crafter profession is the one who process the raw material further so it can be used by other players. Jewelcrafting, Engineering, Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Alchemy, and Inscription are examples of the crafter professions. The drawback are you will need gold first to level your skill and buy material or ingredients. As for material, you can buy it at the Auction House or if you crafting on regular basis you can form a partnership with a gatherer to maintain a steady supplies. 5. Auction House: Buy Low Sell High

Like the title said, the idea is buy items at lower price than you will sell it; it sound simple but require good knowledge on the current supply and demand. A simple method is watching trade channel for a hot item you want, then start bargaining to attain the lowest price possible. Some other wow gold making guide might recommend different strategies, but all of it are based on the same principle: buy at low price and sell at high price.

6. Auction House: Being a Monopolist

This method will require decent amount of gold in your pocket since you will stock large amount of certain items and can’t expect result immediately. The idea is watching the market for certain item that you can monopolize, then buy ALL of them from the Auction House, leaving the supply for that particular item zero. Then, as the sole supplier of that item, you put it at the Auction House with a new higher price. For a period of time, people will not buy it since they are still used to the old price. During this period, keep watch the AH for people who put the item at lower price and buy all of it. After a while, the buyers will get used to the new price and that is the time to release your stock to the market and earn your profits.

Keep in mind that this method is not always works smoothly because there is possibility that once people see the price going up, they will gather the item more intesively and flood the AH with it. If you see too many people put the item at the Auction House and too risky to buy them all, sell the remaining of your stock, have little profit, and move to different commodities.

If you have been in PvP for a while, you may think that an affliction warlock is very easy to play: just throwing some DoT spells while keep retreating from the opponent; in fact, it takes a lot more than that to win the match against an expert player, thus in this pvp guide for warlock, you’ll learn how to take the most necessary talents to maximize your killing power and end the match ASAP.

Your Skills
Your primary weapon is your DoT spells, so it is only natural for you to pick the talents that give boost to your spells and DoT damage, but there are some other talents that you need too. Here’s the PvP Warlock talent build that focused on Affliction:

1. Improved Corruption; improve Corruption damage by 10%, it is an obvious choice when you play Affliction Warlock.

2. Suppression; increase your spells chance to hit by 3% and reduce mana cost for your Affliction spells by 6%.

3. Improved Curse of Agony; improve your Curse of Agony’s damage by 10%.

4. Improved Drain Soul; increase Drain Soul spell.

5. Soul Siphon; increase your Drain Life and Drain Soul spell.

6. Fel Concentration; having this will make it even more difficult for your opponent to distrub your channeling spells.

7. Nightfall; surprise your opponent by hurling an instant Shadow Bolt at him/her.

8. Empowered Corruption; increase your Corruption spell damage.

9. Siphon Life; increase your Corruption damage while being healed at the same time.

10. Shadow Embrace; increase the power of Haunt and Shadow Bolt. At the same time also reduce all periodic healing such as Priest’s Renew.

11. Shadow Mastery; power up your Shadow spells by 15%.

12. Eradication; when dealing damage with Corruption spells, there is 6% chance to increase your spell casting speed by 20% for 10 seconds.

13. Contagion; increase the damage of your Corruption spell and at the same time make it harder to be dispelled.

14. Malediction; increase your spell damage by 3%. It also increases your periodic critical strike chance of your Corruption and Unstable Affliction by 9%.

15. Death Embrace; increase your Drain Life by 30% when your health is below 20%. If your health is below 20% in 5v5 you will be dead in seconds, so it is not that useful in team PvP, but it has some effect in 1v1 battle. The other effect is increasing your Shadow spells damage by 12% when your target’s health is below 35%; this is very useful to finish the battle quickly.

16. Unstable Affliction; 1150 Shadow damage 15 second with 2070 damage and silence effect as “bonuses” for whoever dare to dispel it.

17. Everlasting Affliction; your Haunt and Drain Life spell can reset the duration of Corruption spell on the target.

18. Haunt; deal 654-673 Shadow damage and increase all DoT on the target. If it get dispelled or finished, the soul will come back and give you healing that equal to the damage dealt.

Some other Warlock PvP guide may suggest spending the rest of your point in Demonology for better survivability, but in this Warlock talent build I will put some points on Improved Shadow Bolt. It is useful for your Nightfall talent and as a reserve spell in case your curses are not work well on your opponent.

Your Enemy
Most of the time, you may have victory with simple tactic:keep retreating while bursting DoT spells and Fear, but what if some people have done their homework thoroughly and they come well prepared to counter those skills? These are some skills that dangerous for you:

1. Drain your mana; you are fully depending on your mana for combat. A warlock with no mana is no threat at all.
Solution: Depending on circumtances, you can add your mana by using Life Tap; just be very careful when you do so.

2. Remove your curses; unless you have Shadow Bolt or any other direct damage skills on your sleeve, you have very little option left to win the battle when your curses removed.
Solution: Having Contagion and Unstable Affliction can make it harder to dispel your spells.

3. Resist to Fear; there are no real solution for this one. You can still win the battle, but it will be harder since they can catch up with you.

The solutions above are only making it harder for your opponent, but it will not make you win the battle. To increase the odd of winning, you must study the strength and weakness of each class, your own included. A good counter strategy can be developed based on those data.
